Toruń, Poland
"The company fits perfectly within our investment strategy, thanks to three main pillars: breakthrough technology, the growing global demand for food waste reduction, and Fresh Inset’s strong, international team. We believe that with the funds raised in this round, the company will dynamically scale its business, delivering increased value for our investors."
Fresh Inset’s mission is to combat excessive food waste — a major global challenge. Nearly half of all harvested fruits and vegetables worldwide are wasted, leading to significant losses and contributing to nearly 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions.
Fresh Inset addresses this issue through innovative, patented solutions designed to reduce spoilage in fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Its flagship product, VIDRE+™, is offered in two formats:
- insets that can be integrated into film- and cardboard-based packaging,
- and standalone stickers that can be added to existing packaging.
The company also collaborates with clients on co-development projects, tailoring its solutions to specific applications.
Fresh Inset operates as a B2B company, with products currently available in markets across South America and Africa. Its patented technologies are protected in over 50 countries.
In 2024, the company signed a key distribution agreement with Janssen PMP, part of the Johnson & Johnson group, for the distribution of VIDRE+™ products in Europe. It has also established strategic partnerships with distributors in Latin America and formed alliances with global leaders in the floral market.
In preparation for further growth, Fresh Inset has secured formal approvals for commercial sales in both the U.S. and Europe, beginning in 2025. These regions represent cornerstone markets for the company’s long-term growth strategy and global expansion.
